Aquatic therapy uses the healing power of water to accelerate your student-athlete’s rehabilitation and fitness. With three different therapy pools to meet all kinds of needs, Children’s Mercy offers the facilities your athlete needs to work toward a quicker and less strenuous recovery.

Benefits of aquatic therapy

Water therapy offers increased flexibility and a better range of motion for student-athletes who are recovering from an injury. Many people choose to use the therapy pools for strength and conditioning workouts. This allows them to begin to retrain their body to proper movement while lessening low back pain and other chronic conditions.
